This One Is For Corey La Barrie (Emotional)

Hey there,

I don’t know how many of you know but a really caring and warm individual named Corey La Barrie passed away on Mother’s Day. For more context, he was a YouTuber and he was also close to others in the YouTube community. Through YouTube, I will be forever grateful for his impact in our world.

I don’t want to make this about me, but for context, I would like to explain some things that are important to talk about and why Corey had such an impact, even if I never formerly knew him. For about 8 years now, I have turned to the YouTube community when things get rough in life. Some ways to distract myself from life’s moments included Corey’s personal channel and Corey and Crawford’s channel.

Corey was a person that made me laugh in the most difficult of days. He took criticism in such a motivational way to continue being himself. Sometimes his smile and energy helped brighten up my day and I know that others were impacted through his energy as well. He literally impacted his close friends' lives and I can only imagine how his friends and family are coping to such a sudden change.

You know how some friends are naturally the teddy bears in a friend group? That was Corey! He was heavily sarcastic. Super motivated. And you could tell that he tried extremely hard to make great content for those who were watching him, even without his Instagram verification symbol lol.

After seeing YouTubers that I love to watch and support, I saw that an overarching sentiment was to continue his legend.

I know that during these times, life is so f’ing hard. Today I woke up anxious as fuck and I didn’t even know why or what happened. But, Corey would have wanted us to live our lives and push ourselves to be a better version of ourselves, which he was somehow so good at doing on camera. This energy is one that continuously made me want to watch his content and that has gotten me through some rough times.

I know you are watching all of us from up in the skies and challenging us to look at the positive side of things. Thank you so much for spreading your unique and funny personality with all of us. I will have your family and friends in my prayers.
